Gabe Fleisher is a political journalist who runs his own daily political email blast and news site called Wake Up To Politics with over 33,000 subscribers. He also runs the site's social media accounts which have a combined following of more than 20,000 people.

Gabe's interest in politics started at the age of six when he went on a road trip to Barack Obama's 2009 presidential inauguration with his father and sister. Before Gabe was interested in politics, his first passion was history. Gabe is a practicing Jew and has a strong connection to the synagogue community. He sees Wake Up To Politics as a form of Tikkun olam, since it breaks down complex issues for those who may have neither the time.

Gabe is a student at John Burroughs School, a private high school in La Due, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Gabe lives in University City, Missouri a suburb of St. Louis with his parents, sister, and dog

Tipper. Gabe's father Randy Fleisher is a Rabbi at Central Reform Synagogue in St. Gabe's mother Amy, is a sales director at Caleres, a footwear company. His sister, Zoey is a high school senior attending Webster University where she will be majoring in vocal music education.

In April 2011 at the age of eight, Gabe started his first daily political email blast called The Daily Rundown to his mother.

He renamed the blast Wake Up to Politics and started to send it to more and more people eventually reaching over 33,000 readers.

The blast is sent out at 8 a.m everyday.

He also started a Twitter [1] account of the same name that now has over 17,000 followers and the Wake Up to Politics Facebook page has over 3,000 followers.

Gabe has interviewed political figures including Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Sandra Day O'Connor, Martin O'Malley, Rand Paul, and Ben Carson. For Wake Up To Politics, Gabe has received press credentials to cover presidential primary debates, presidential addresses, caucus meetings, and candidate rallies.

Gabe has published one book, Hear Us Roar, a history of his elementary school, and also writes for his high school newspaper and the St. Louis Jewish Light. Gabe is also a recipient of the 2014 Lincoln Forum Student Scholarship and the Kids Voting Missouri Pioneer Award, and was recognized by Microsoft as a "Person of Action".
