Frances Ryan is a journalist and political commentator based in the United Kingdom. She writes extensively on austerity, inequality, disability, and social mobility for The Guardian as both an opinion and feature writer, as well as other publications such as the New Statesman , The Independent , and The Observer . Ryan is also the Author of the upcoming book, Crippled. [1]

Education

Ryan graduated from The University of Nottingham with a PhD in politics. Throughout her studies she examined the myth of meritocracy.
