Feras M. Freitekh was a Jordanian international student studying in the United States at a flight school to become a pilot. [1]
Personafl Life
Freitekh came to the United States from Jordan in 2012 on a temporary M-1 visa for flight school to study to become a pilot.
Freitekh has also lived in Orland Hills, Illinois, about 35 miles away from Chicago, Illinois. He began living there in April 2013. Freitekh obtained a private Pilot certificate on May 29, 2015, and was licensed to fly a single-engine plane. [1]
Death
On October 11, 2016, Freitekh was flying with Arian Prevalla, a pilot and instructor from a local flight school, when they both got into an argument, and Freitekh intentionally crashed the plane they were in, onto a street in East Hartford, Connecticut.
