Farnoush Amiri is an Iranian-American journalist based in New York. She currently works at The Associated Press. Previously, she was a digital reporter at NBC News, and contributing writer at The Hollywood Reporter and her hometown paper, The Orange County Register.

Amiri graduated cum laude from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's degree in journalism. Shortly after, she earned her master's degree in multimedia and investigative journalism from the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University.

Farnoush Amiri's work has been published and seen in the Orange County Register, MSNBC, the Center for Investigative Journalism in Puerto Rico, Gothamist, BKLYNER and more.
