Eric H. Paddock (born March 29, 1960) is a resident of Orlando, Florida. He is best known as the brother of Stephen Paddock, the perpetrator of the Mandalay Bay Resort Shooting that took place on October 1, 2017. ^[1]

Paddock's grew up in Sun Valley, California. He was the youngest of three brothers. Eric's father Benjamin Hoskins Paddock was a bank robber and a former member of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list. Benjamin was diagnosed as psychopathic after his arrest in the late 1960s.

A few reports have found out that his brother was the perpetrator of the mass shooting in Las Vegas, he said his family was "completely dumbfounded."

He described the situation as Mars [falling] into the Earth."

When asked about whether he knew about any motives his brother had, he responded that he had "no idea" why he did it.

In an interview, Eric Paddock said he knew his brother owned a few Handgun s and maybe one long Rifle, but said he did not know of any automatic weapons.
