Emily Victoria Canham ^[3] (born on April 5, 1997) ^[1] is an English blogger and YouTuber based out of London. She produces content about beauty and fashion. She publishes videos to her two channels Emily Canham and Emily Canham Vlogs; the former channel has over 1 million subscribers as of December 2019. ^[2]

Emily Canham was born in Kettering, England. As a child, she liked to ride horses. ^[3]

When she was 11 years old, she had the opportunity to appear on the BBC show Junior MasterChef. She got so nervous that she did not talk to the casting director and did not go through to the live show. ^[3]

With an ambition to pursue a career in fashion journalism, Emily Canahm started blogging at an early age. She documented the outfits she wore daily to sixth form and gained a following - mainly of young girls - on Instagram. Her audience eventually convinced her start a YouTube channel. ^[22]

As of December 2019, Emily has over 681,000 followers on her emilycanham Instagram account.^[5]

Emily started her YouTube career in November 2013, when she posted her first video, "30 Facts About Me." ^[3] She created a video on August 24, 2014 called "Turning Sam King Into My Perfect Guy." ^[10]

Her younger sister Sophie appears on both her YouTube and her Instagram channels.

Emily said she did YouTube as a hobby and it accidentally became her career. Her teachers agreed that she could the the rest of the year off and return the following year. In 2015, Emily was vlogging full time and living in London. She said: "My mum said my parents would support me for six months and then I would need to pay my rent and my way to see where YouTube would lead to. "^[28]

The first paycheck she got from YouTube was £60 through advertising. And now she has an entire team working with her. Emily earns her money through sponsored posts, affiliate links and brand mentions. She recently refused a £7,000 deal, most likely due to the fact she didn't want to work with the company.^[28]

Emily said she removed herself from the financial part of the business and has hired an agent.^[28]

Emily Canham has an older sister named Katie and a younger sister named Sophie.

Her favorite band is McFly. In her first YouTube video in 2013, she claims to have seen them 16 times and meet them 6 times. ^[3] Her favorite member from the group is Danny Jones, the lead vocalist who also plays the harmonica and guitar. ^[3]

Her favorite foods are pizza and cucumbers, but never together. ^[3]

She began dating fellow YouTuber Jake Boys in mid-2014. They eventually broke up in February 2017. ^[23]
