Death
On February 18, 2017, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 10:30 a.m. at the University of University of Kentucky hospital.
The day before, Emery and his girlfriend left school to get a project out of the car, and never returned.
Investigators believe at some point, Collins shot her and then himself.
Witnesses say his car went off a road, up a hill, passed by multiple trees and struck the corner of a home off Ruddles Mill Road.
Emergency crews rushed the teens to the hospital, his girlfriend went into surgery in critical condition.
