Education
Lopez graduated with honors from the Meek School of Journalism at the University of Mississippi in 2011.
In 2009, she won the Student Achievement Award in French granted by the Department of Modern Languages and made the Chancellor’s Honor Roll along with Dean's Honor Roll.
While studying journalism, she attended the Institut supérieur du commerce de Paris, where she filmed a documentary on tourism and the negative effects on permanent citizens.

She has also produced domestic news stories, such as the Baltimore riots, mass church shooting in Charleston, Hurricane Matthew and the fatal floods across Texas in 2017.
Lopez is also the co-president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists in Atlanta.
