Efa Iwara is a nollywood actor who started as a singer - rapper and Hip-Hop enthusiast.

Efa Iwara was Born in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State, he discovered he had a passion for rap at a rather young age. he went on to write his first verse by the time he turned nine. Efa Iwara's father is a retired pprofessor of Linguistics and his mother is a librarian.

After high school, Efa Iwara gained admission into the University of Ibadan to study Geography.

While at University of Ibadan, Efa Iwara went along with 3 friends, including DJ Klem formed a group called X-Factor. After a while, the artistes grew apart as they were headed in different directions and the group split up. Things were to go from bad to worse for him for right after the group disbanded. After a while, It took the intervention of a close friend to reignite his passion for music and get him back into the studio. Efa went back to writing and recording with his former group member, DJ Klem. Together, they recorded Kwenu, a single which, despite its unreleased status, went on to feature prominently in National Youth Service Corps camps in Western Nigeria in 2008. Efa released singles and remixes from the summer of 2010 to introduce himself to the Nigerian market.
