Alfred Bacher
Bacher has been a chemistry professor at UCLA since 2001 and a postdoc from 1995 until then. Since 2001, he has been the main professor for two lower division organic and one upper division inorganic chemistry lab courses. He graduated in 1992 from Philipps-Universität Marburg in Germany with a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry. While at Philipps-Universität, he studied under Ulrich Müller.
Dr. Bacher is an academic descendent of the creator of the Bunsen burner: Bunsen --> Goldschmiedt --> Hönigschmid --> Zintl --> Goubeau --> Dehnicke --> Müller --> Bacher.
