Dr. Tam was a family medicine doctor who was working in the Department of Psychiatry at the time of her death.
Death
In June 2017, Tam was shot to death by Dr. Henry Bello, a deranged former employee of the hospital who had vowed to kill his coworkers when he was forced to resign for sexually harassing a patient. Tam was not his intended target. She was killed because she was covering a coworker's shift. [1]
