Dr. Jennifer Gonzales was a psychologist with the San Francisco Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.
Education
She received her Doctor of Psychology degree from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D.
Consortium at Palo Alto University Palo Alto University in 2003.
Jennifer completed her predoctoral internship at the Iowa City VA Medical Center where she participated primarily in rotations for PTSD and Family therapy, with additional training in SUD, Polytrauma, and Health Psychology.
Career
Dr. Gonzales was dividing her time between working onsite at The Pathway Home and on the Napa Valley College campus.
Pathway believed that having a psychologist on-site was a key part of meeting the needs of student veterans who struggled with depression, anxiety, or post traumatic stress disorder.
Death
On Friday March 9, 2018, Dr. Gonzales was identified as one of three hostages who were killed by an Army veteran, Albert Wong in Yountville.
She was pregnant at the time of her death.
