Biography

Minister Stoker was born and raised in the state of Texas for most of his life. He grew up in the city of El Paso for most of his upbringing, which is also where he his grandparents also lived. He was raised in the tradition of United Methodism and learned the word of Christ at a very young age.
Education
Stoker received his Bachelor's degree in Communication studies from Texas Tech University. He would later received his Master's degree in Divinity/Ministry from Southern Methodist University.
He earned his PHD in Family Studies from Texas Woman's University.
Marriage

On January 10th, 1998, Minister Stoker married his long time girlfriend from college, Megan.
Career
After college, Stoker finished his seminar at Perkins School of Theology in 2001.
Prior to that he had served a two point charge in Henderson, Texas, and Greenland Hills United Methodist Church.
He was later commissioned to be an elder in North Texas Conference and later appointed to First United Methodist Church of Denton.
For the next decade, Stoker would hold several positions throughout North Texas until a Bishop appointed him to be the Senior Minister of First United Methodist Church of Dallas.
Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Competition
On January 12th, 2018, his son, Wesley Trent Stoker, won first place in the 26th Annual Gardere's Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Competition in 2018.
