She has spoken about her work to college students in the United States engaging them on their attitudes toward religion, spirituality and especially what they think about sex and the "hookup" culture on campuses.
One of her works of young adult fiction, The Possibilities of Sainthood, is listed in Booklist's 1000 Best Young Adult Books since 2000.[8]
She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
