Early Life and Education
Denise Middleton was born and nurtured in Bayou City, Southwest Houston.[2]
Denise Middleton had her high school education at James Madison Senior High School.
During her senior year of high school, she was chosen to deliver the keynote speech at a fundraising gala for Soul Patrol, with former president George H.W.
Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush in attendance.
Denise Middleton then proceeded to the University of Houston, where she received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. She received several local scholarship programs, such as the Evan E. Worthing Scholarship Fund, the Linda Lorelle Scholarship Foundation, and the Soul Patrol Scholarship Program, a program supported by former presidents George H.W Bush and Bill Clinton.[3]
Career
Denise Middletown started her career as a reporter at KHAS-Hastings, Nebraska. Between 2007 to 2009, Denise Middletown served as a general assignment reporter in KHAS-Hastings. From there, she headed south to KSLA-Shreveport, Louisiana, where she worked as a morning anchor and reporter from 2009 to 2013. [4]
From 2013 to 2014, Denise Middletown worked as a freelance host at Houston Based.
She left for KTHV-Little Rock, Arkansas. Denise Middleton worked as an evening anchor, she led the team coverage of Arkansas’ controversial executions of multiple inmates in 2017. She has also covered many natural disasters from tornados to winter storms. She left for Fox 26 in 2019.[5][1]
Denise Middleton currently as a weekend anchor in FOX 26.
Trivia
Denise Middleton is married to Brandon, who she met at the University of Houston. She has a son named Isaiah for Brandon.
Denise Middleton is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
In her leisure time, she enjoys volunteering, mentoring, watching movies, and spending time with her husband and children.[1]
