Delaney is an American teenager who gained viral fame after videos circulated on Twitter during the moments when she said the N word while onstage with Kendrick Lamar.

On May 20th, 2018, while at the 2018 Hangout Festival, Delaney was given the opportunity to go on stage and perform a song alongside Kendrick Lamar after she was chosen to do so from the VIP section.

As the song "M.A.A.D

City" begins to play, Delaney is given the microphone. When

she begins to rap the bars, she does not think to bleep out the "N words" in the song and goes on to rap them. Lamar

then decides to stop her. The

audience also begin to take notice and begin to "boo" Delaney off of the stage.

As Lamar stops her, Delaney doesn't realize the reasons and says, "am I not cool enough for you bro... what's wrong bro?" Lamar finally admits to her, "You gotta bleep one single word though," to which she replied, "Oh, I'm sorry!

I'm so sorry.

Oh my God...

I'm used to singing it like you wrote it."

She pleaded to stay on stage, and Lamar gives her another chance.

Once again, when the song begins and is about to enter the verse, Delaney fails and Lamar ends the song.

The videos of Delaney have since gone viral with millions of people questioning whether Lamar set her up for failure.

Others opposed Lamar for not allowing his fans to sing his ons lyrics the way he wrote them.
