Work & Career

While living in New York City, she worked as an Art therapist for five years, which was a struggle financially. She also worked as a record store shift supervisor, a scrawler of “happy birthday” on bakery cakes, an art therapist and a technology reporter.

Smitten Kitchen

In 2003, she started a personal blog called Smitten which began after having numerous dating experiences. She then met the person whom she would end up marrying and had to change her original topic from dating to something else formidable, but she gave up writing for about three years.

In 2006, she began Smitten Kitten. She would later write a book, called The Smitten Kitchen CookBook in 2012.

She has since been covered by numerous food publications and has developed a large following on Instagram with more than 162K.
