David Stephan

David Stephan

David Stephan is accused of not providing the needed requirements for his 19-month old son to live.

His son, Ezekiel Stephan, became ill with meningitis in March 2012 and David did not take him to the doctors nor give him any medicine. Instead David gave his son frozen berries, water and maple syrup, hot pepper and horseradish smoothies, and a few other natural remedies. Only when Ezekiel stopped breathing did David take him to the hospital.

David and his wife, Collet Stephan, own and run a nutritional supplement company, Truehope Nutritional Support Inc.

While on trial David expressed doubts that medicine could have saved his life or that Ezekiel even had meningitis to begin with.

David and his wife started a Go Fund Me campaign and are asking for donations to help cover legal expenses. David claims that the case is costing him over $2,000 per week and that they need help covering these bills.
