Darrell Silver was born March 12, 1981 (age 36).

He is the CEO and co-founder of Thinkful, a career training company that specializes in coding. He is an active angel investor in New York City. He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York in the United States of America [1]. He is a native to New York City. He is engaged to Stephen Foley, Deputy US News Editor at the Financial Times.

Thinkful

Created in October 2012, Darrell Silver and Dan Friedman created Thinkful together.

Its goal is to give people the skills necessary to succeed in our technologically-heavy workplace, with an emphasis on coding.

Thinkful helps people of all backgrounds reach their career goals, and they guarantee a job once you are done the program.

87% of graduates have a placement rate within 180 days of graduation, with an average salary increase of $20,769.

If a student does not acquire a job within 6 months, they receive a full refund.

It uses a one-on-one mentorship system, as it is proven to be the fastest way to learn successfully.

The mentors are not only teachers, but also a connection in the software industry, a friend, and a job advisor.

Previous Career Experience

Perpetually (Smarsh Web Archiving): Darrell Silver founded Perpetually in 2009, an archiving provider for leading companies in regulated and litigious industries. He sold Perpetually in 2012 to Smarsh (Dell), and it is now known as Smarsh Web archiving.

Clinton Group: At the age of 25, in 2006, Silver was the head of algorithmic trade execution for the Clinton Group.

Jelly: Silver was the NYC organizer of Jelly from 2008 to 2012. Jelly is a production agency that works with some of the world's finest creators.

Guest Services: Silver worked as the on-mountain Fun Police at Vail Resorts from October 2003 until April 2004.
