Craig Xen is a rapper from Houston who is widely known throughout the Underground and SoundCloud Rap scene.

Xen grew up in Houston and was surrounded by the hip-hop scene in the city.

Through his uncle, he was surrounded by Houston music mainstays such as DJ Screw and Scarface (rapper). Xen is half-black from his father's side and half-white from his mother's side, and is an only child. Growing up, his father was in prison and and his mother worked late nights which pushed him more towards music.

The first time he remembers rapping was when he was six-years-old with his cousin and performed their original song in front of his family.

In his youth, Xen was obsessed with Eminem and the Houston scene he was surrounded by. He considers Lil B was one of his biggest inspirations due to his positivity and how he became popular utilizing the internet.

The name Craig Xen initially comes from his high school days when he was into meditation and hallucinogens, he was very much into zen philosophy and adopted it into his name.
