Personal Life
Wharton is currently dating Taylor Selfridge. In 2019, fans of the couple speculated that Selfridge was pregnant with his child. She later revealed that she was not pregnant. [16]
In October 2019, the couple, who met during season 1 of Ex on the Beach, announced they were expecting their first child together.[20]
Wharton and his girlfriend Taylor Selfridge welcomed their first child together, a daughter, on April 22, 2020. Wharton posted a video to his Instagram Story, showing him cradling his baby girl. "Hi," he said in the clip. "Daddy loves you." "She’s here," he added. "Everybody is safe and everybody is healthy. Taylor is fine and the baby is gorgeous."[20][21]
MTV's Teen Mom OG At Home: Cory & Taylor’s Baby Special about the birth of Cory's daughter, Mila Mae Wharton was set to air in June 2020. The special, created entirely with self-recorded footage, documented the final weeks of Wharton's girlfriend Taylor Selfridge's pregnancy as they faced the reality of a global pandemic due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Just before the airing of the special, MTV officially cut ties with Selfridge days after racially insensitive tweets she wrote in 2012 resurfaced.[26]
Cory insisted he won't be parting ways with MTV and the popular television show, even though they cut his daughter's birth special from one of the episodes too. Getting visibly emotional, Cory took to his Instagram Stories to set the record straight regarding the recent drama. "I wanted to make sure my response isn't just out of pure emotion," he told his fans. "I took the day and the chance to basically write everything out..." he continued, before having to compose himself.[26]
Taking some deep breaths, he said: "If my little crybaby butt would stop being emotional about this!" He then said: "This needs to be understood, I’m not going anywhere!
Let me be the first one to say I’m not going anywhere.
I’ve learned that burning bridges is not the solution."
"Even though I have no ill-will against MTV, I’m disappointed, I’m hurt and I’m saddened by their decision."[26]
