Cole & Marmalade are two rescued kitties saved from the hazards their lives were poised with.They are famous for entertaining humans with their funny videos and also help raise awareness for cats in need.

COLE

Cole was adopted in 2012 after a friend of his owners spotted him at a busy ^[18] intersection one evening all alone. A picture was texted them by their friend of the little fluff ball and they couldn’t say no and picked him up the very next day. He was only around 6 weeks old and covered in fleas, but was groomed into maturity and is now quite the handsome man. His estimated date of Birth is 3rd of January 2012. Because he was raised him from such a young age he bonded with his owners very closely and he’s a big snuggle bug.He’s also very clever and when playing hide and seek with Cole he normally outsmarts ! ^[19]

MARMALADE

Marm was born July 1st 2013, unfortunately his two siblings died and his owners didn’t want him and it was feared he’d end up at the local shelter or let loose outside to fend for himself in a nearby Feral colon.So Cole and Jesse agreed to adopt him into their family (his mum was spayed soon after).Cole & Marmalade soon became best buds and were running around playing together in no time at all!

Marmalade was diagnosed with Cancer in 2014 and we also discovered he was FIV+.But after having the tumor removed and undergoing a dozen chemotherapy treatments Marm came out on top and kicked cancer’s butt! He’s now in remission and doing well.

Cole is believed to be a Turkish Angora but can’t be totally sure since he was rescued off the streets, Jess chose the name Cole because she likes the name (thank you to the TV show Charmed) and because of the obvious similarity to “Coal” which we thought was fun and Chris also liked the fact that it was a combination of his name Chris + Poole.

Marmalade is a short haired ginger tabby and was named Marmalade after the British jam, one that was a favorite for his owner. Unfortunately, many ^[17] people think he’s a girl because of this name.

CHRIS POOLE

Chris Poole is a self-confessed crazy cat guy. Growing up with cats since he was a kid, he’s very proud to be own such amazing cats now he’s an “adult”.He was Born in Nottingham, England but he’s lived in the United States since 2008.

For 7 years he was Media Producer at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida where he worked closely with Tiger s, Lion s and other exotic cats, helping to raise awareness about the problems they’re facing in the wild and in private hands.

JESSICA JOSEPHS

Jess is Cole and Marm’s wonderful cat mom and Chris’ long suffering Wife.She is the primary Writer/ Editor for ColeandMarmalade.com, and helps with video ideas and pictures.She is also responsible for all the pawsome kitty props in videos including costumes and EPIC cat castles!

In 2017, she opened an Etsy store – Accessorati where she sells homemade crocheted items for cats and humans. The most popular are her stuffed homegrown catnip toys. ^[16]

The viral rescue cats, who’ve appeared on Ellen and the cover of Modern Cat Magazine, have gone dark online due to a lawsuit filed by Digital Pet Media, the company that says it owns the Cole and Marmalade Digital Business. The defendant is Chris Poole, the Tampa man who owns the ^[15] actual cats.
