Christopher Florentino known professionally as Flore, is an international American Contemporary Fine artist born in Brooklyn, New York. His work ranges from contemporary art pieces to mid-century modern inspired interior design. [1] [18] [2] [23]
Early Life & Education
Florentino was raised in Marine Park Brooklyn.
He was inspired by the work of Keith Haring and the New York art seen of the 80s. His family are very creative people, having been exposed to art most of his life. [18]
Florentino went to school for art and attained a degree in communication design. [18]
Career
Early beginnings - present

Florentino started painting professionally in 2014.
He currently paints in The East Village during spring and summer and paints the winters in an all Original Gene Leedy mid-century modern home built in 1963 which he interior designed. [18]
Artistry
He currently paints in two different styles.
His urban cubism style which is a more urban New York style of artwork and his modern style which is more of an abstract expressionism/ gesture paintings.[18]
Urban Cubism
In his “urban cubism” works, Florentino aims to capture the energy of a moment.
He loves words and chop up thoughts in his paintings and combine it with the energy of New York City.
Heavily inspired by Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and George Condo. [18]
Something Modern
In his “Something Modern” series, Florentino aims to show the value of color, gesture, stroke, and texture with the same energy of New York City.
