Career
Currently, Chris runs Marketing for Microsoft’s consumer and commercian businesses, which includes Product marketing for all Microsoft services and products, brand, adertising, communication and research. A leade of the Consumer Business team, he oversees the Consumer and Device Sales team, Microsoft Advertising sales and Microsoft Stores.
In more than 25 years at Microsoft, Chris has already held a huge variety of positions. Previously, he served in the Microsoft Office Division and was responsible for Marketing the company's productivity solutions including Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio. He also served as Chief of staff for the President of Microsoft's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, which is composed of 38 Microsoft subsidiaries and has its Headquarters in Paris. [undefined]
For more than two years Chris Capossela served as Speech Manager for Microsoft Chairman and Chief Software Architect Bill Gates.
Early in his career at the Software company, he served as a Product manager for Microsoft Visual FoxPro and Microsoft Access. While a member of the Access team in 1997, he was granted a U.S. patent for his method of integrating Access with Source Code control programs such as Microsoft Visual SourceSafe. [undefined]

Personal Life
Chris' interest in technology and computing began when, as a boy, he wrote a Reservation system for his family’s small Italian restaurant in Boston using dBase for DOS on an early IBM PC. [undefined]

He is passionate about Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more and currently serves as a board member for Worldreader, a Non-profit dedicated to bringing Digital books to every child and her family, so that they can improve their lives. [undefined]
