Personal Life
Chinara and Chad Butler got married while Butler was serving an eight-year sentence for probation violations.
Chinara said about the experience:
"It was before I had my daughter Christian and for me I was 23, 24?
So, being married and making a promise to God was like, super scary to me.
So, I do believe I acted like I didn't hear him and kept talking.
That was easier.
And I had to marinate.
Then our life just went to having Christian, him going to jail, it was just like, yeah.
I'm gonna stick with him through this and help however I can.
We decided then that we were gonna get married"
Chinara also said that she felt safe and secure around Chad.
She described a time that he saved her life:
"He was just about to leave to go on tour for the album and I was taking a shower and I passed out.
I woke up.
I was dressed and then I passed out again.
I was on a stretcher.
I woke up again and I was in a hospital.
Like I said, I had an ectopic pregnancy.
So, I was maybe three to four months so literally, I was bleeding to death."
Chinara had two children with Pimp C, a son named Dahcory and a daughter named Christian.
Relieved Of Duty From Commanding Chad's Estate
On October 26 2016, Judge Gerald Eddins relieved Chinara of her duties as Pimp C’s estate administrator.
His son Chad Butler Jr. accused her of mishandling funds.
He listed the repossession of his father’s car, missing jewelry, as well as a tax lien against the rapper’s home as proof.
The feud even culminated with young Chad releasing a two diss tracks against his stepmother, “Trust Nobody” and “Jealousy and Hate.”
Chicara brushed off the accusations and insists that she's working tirelessly to promote her husband's legacy:
"I still have the authority to do everything I’ve been doing.
It’s just that now I don’t have to file papers.
Now I can give 1,000%, not a 100% but 1,000%, to keep his legacy going.”
She also offered explanations as to what happened with the assets.
She claims tht the family was already in the red, she also acknowledges the difficulties that came with having to adapt and take control of a large operation over night:
"even with the car situation, as administrator, I was supposed to file some papers.
It came up in court and Chad’s attorney asked me if I filed a paper to turn in the Bentley, and my answer was that we couldn’t pay for it.
I had no knowledge that we had to turn in a paper.
First of all, to say that I’m gonna pay for papers to be filed that say that we couldn’t afford a car — no one teaches you how to be a good widow.
No one teaches you how to run and administer an estate before you’re 30.
There were certain things I had to learn."
