Chickenhead (Project Pat)

Chickenhead (Project Pat)

Chickenhead is a song by Project Pat of Three 6 Mafia and features La' Chat, DJ Paul & Juicy J. The song is off his 2001 album, Mista Don't Play: Everythangs Workin and was released under Loud Records. [1]

Background

The term Chickenhead derives from African-American sexual slang referring to the act of Fellatio, specifically the act of on "bobbing" their mouth back and forth on a Penis. The term was originally popularized on Redman's album Muddy Waters

When Project Pat created the song, he intended it to be a banger. Juicy J recounted when Projected Pat came to him with the idea:

“I remember Project Pat came to me and he said man, I got this song called ‘Chickenheads,’ I was like, ‘How it go?’ He was like, ‘Bok bok!

Chicken chicken.’ I'm like, What??’ At first I was like, ‘What the hell?’ You know what I'm saying? ‘Bok Bok’—what you just say man?” ”He said, ‘Man, it's gonna be hot, it's gonna work.’ So I said, ‘Aite, cool.’ We recorded the song, me and Paul did the beat, and shit, the record company heard it and was like, man, this song is a SMASH. And the song blew up, man.”

Chickenhead's instrumental draws its sample from D.J.

Jimi's song "Bitches (Replay)."

Music Video

The setting of the music video takes place at Starlight Drive-In Movie Theater, and places heavily emphasis on rims, Cadillacs, and bling.

Project Pat and the featured artists on Chickenhead are surrounded by scantily dressed women.
