Cedric Ford was a painter at Excel Industries - Hesston, Kansas. Cedric originally hailed from Miami. He has 2 children, a son and a daughter. [1]
In February 2016, hours after being served a protection-from-abuse order by the sheriff, Cedric went on a shooting rampage, killing 3 and wounding 14 before he was shot to death by the sheriff.
Cedric's ex-girlfriend had requested the order 2 weeks before it was served, saying Cedric was abusive and depressed.
Cedric had already served time in jail previously.
The guns Cedric used in the shooting were illegally obtained.
Cedric was killed by police chief Doug Schroeder.
