Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Cedric Sanders developed an interest in acting his sophomore year, after his high school drama teacher asked him to audition for the lead in the school's rock musical, "The Me Nobody Knows."

The director heard Sanders sing the national anthem at a school pep rally and was certain he was the right fit for the role of Clorox.
