Carson Roney was a 19-year-old student of attended North Dakota State. He is originally from Oakes, North Dakota.
Life and Activities
Roney attended Oakes High School and was an active part of his high school community.
He was a member football, basketball, and track and field teams as well as being a Boys State Delegate.
After graduating, Roney went on to attend North Dakota State to study biology. After graduating, hr aspired to go back home to be a doctor and to run the family farm. Carson is remembered for having an infectious smile and for his kindness towards others. [1]
Death
On the evening of February 11th just after 10 pm, Carson was a passenger in a vehicle with two other people driving on Interstate 94 in Minnesota. The driver, Diane Thomssen, lost control of her vehicle and hit the median. Carson and Diane were later pronounced dead from the accident. Another passenger, Haley Visto survived with non-critical injuries. Snow and ice are believed to be factors in the crash. All three of them were wearing seatbelts. [1]
