In October of 2016, Caroline announced that she was supporting Hillary Clinton for President, changing her Facebook profile picture to the Hillary logo.
Ahead of the 2016 presidential election that pitted Hillary Clinton against Trump, Caroline revealed that she has no conflicts with her father over their conflicting politics.[8][9]
On August 12, 2020, after Kamala Harris was announced as Joe Biden's running mate, Caroline shared a throwback photo that she had taken with Kamala Harris senator and wrote, “An excellent day for a repost from this bleeding [blue heart emoji] of mine.” She added the hashtags “#bidenharris2020” and “removetrump”.[8]
On October 15, 2020, Vanity Fair released her explosive essay, where she wrote that "being the daughter of a polarizing mayor who became the president's personal bulldog" is "a difficult confession — something I usually save for at least the second date." "The stakes are too high," she pleaded with Vanity Fair's readers, "I may not be able to change my father's mind, but together, we can vote this toxic administration out of office."[13][16]
Giuliani said that despite her father’s close personal and professional ties with Trump, “none of us can afford to be silent right now.”
“As a child, I saw firsthand the kind of cruel, selfish politics that Donald Trump has now inflicted on our country.
It made me want to run as far away from them as possible.
But trust me when I tell you: Running away does not solve the problem.
We have to stand and fight.
The only way to end this nightmare is to vote.
There is hope on the horizon, but we’ll only grasp it if we elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” she wrote.[14][16]
Controversy
In 2010, when she was a senior at Harvard, Caroline was arrested for shoplifting $150 of cosmetics from SEPHORA. She had $320 in her pocket while shoplifting, which led many to conclude the act was a cry for help.
