Carolina Sarassa

Carolina Sarassa is an award-winning journalist based in Miami, Florida.[1][2] She is a correspondent at Noticias Univision for Univision.[3][4]

Education

Sarassa graduated from Florida International University with a BA in Mass Communication and Journalism.

Career

She received an internship at the local Univision newscast in Miami and there began her career in US Hispanic television.

She later became associate producer of the journalistic program Aquí y ahora.

Sarassa went on to Corpus Christi, Texas, where she worked as a reporter and anchor for the local Univision newscast for three years. She later joined the affiliate of that network in Las Vegas, to host the nightly news.[5]

After five years in Las Vegas, in August 2012, she moved to Los Angeles, California to work with Noticias MundoFox at the national level.[6]

Personal

With no money, family, or documents, the Sarassa family made their way into South Florida. Her father worked in restaurants, her mother babysat, and the three of them lived in a small room.

She went to Miami with her parents when she was 13 years old.
