Brixton (company)
Brixton is a California-based lifestyle apparel brand founded in 2004 by Jason Young, David Stoddard, and Mike Chapin. [12][9][10]
History
Co-founder David Stoddard began his journey working at the TransWorld warehouse. He had a brief stint as the art director for TransWorld Business before settling into advertising sales for seven years. It was there that Stoddard developed a lot of the knowledge and contacts that would help him make Brixton successful. Fellow co-founder Jason Young also worked at TransWorld and introduced Stoddard to the third co-founder and financial wiz, Mike Chapin. The three pooled together ten thousand dollars each to launch the business.[16]
Brixton started with a special focus on headwear. Their first accounts were with Active Rideshop and Surf Ride, two business that they had developed relationships with at TransWorld. After five years of focusing on the headwear business, the Brixton brand soon expanded into flannel, jackets, accessories and all sorts of other apparel. [16]
Brixton is currently distributed in 32 countries and uses only quality materials crafted to the highest standards of the manufacturing process.
Careful attention is given to the selection of classic plaids and tweeds, antiqued metals and fine leather, to create bold and unique styles. [16]
