Bridget Freitas is an American Nurse who went viral after a video posted online shows a police officer punching her in the face as she's being escorted out of the stadium. ^[1]

Freitas is a resident of the town of Pembroke pines where she has lived for a number of years. She is a registered nurse.

On Saturday evening, November 5th, 2017, during the game between of University of Miami and Virginia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium, it is alleged that Bridget was causing a disturbance on section 129. According to reports, she was arguing with fans using profanity in a loud and boisterous manner.

When Miami-Dade Police detective Douglas Ross went to the section to investigate. He found a disorderly Freitas arguing with other people. He had asked her many times to leave and that she's being removed, but she never responded. Officer Ross contacted further officers to arrive. Freitas decided to plant herself in the stairs which led to the officers picking her up and escorting her out of the stadium.

and captures when Freitas slaps the head of Officer Ross two times, who then responds with a right hand punch that send her backwards.

Freitas was charged with felony battery on a police officer.

She was one of 23 ejections from the stadium.

The video has since gone viral on social media.
