In the Media
On October 28, 2017, Brochu was arrested on misdemeanor charges of third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace after bragging online about contaminating her roommate, Chennel Rowe's, belongings with bodily fluids, including rubbing dirty tampons on her backpack and putting her toothbrush places where the sun doesn’t shine.
Brochu committed that acts the first few weeks of the school year, in an effort to get her to move out.
Brochu posted pictures, including one of a bag stained with a reddish brown substance that she later acknowledged was period blood, one of a food container filled with a milky substance and one of hair extensions with the caption, “This b—- legit bought a box of f—ing hair.”
She told police that she did lick Rowe’s plate, fork and spoon, rub a used tampon on her backpack and mix Rowe’s lotions together.
She was released after posting $1,000 bail.
On November 1, 2017, Brochu appeared at Hartford Community Court for her arraignment.
A judge banned her from the campus and ordered her not to have any contact with her former dormitory roommate.
Brochu's Instagram handle of breezy_bumble_b is now shut down.
She posted the following on Instagram:
got rid of her roommate. After 1 1/2 month of spitting in her coconut oil, putting moldy clam dip in her lotions, rubbing used tampons on her backpack, putting her toothbrush places where the sun doesn't shine, and so much more I can finally say goodbye Jamaican Barbie.
On December 18, 2017, Brochu was not charged with a Hate crime, to the upset of the local NAACP chapter.
