Personal Life & Education
Adkins attended Plano West Senior High. He was the son of Bill Adkins, a well known in the local car dealership industry. Bill is president of Trophy Nissan, Toyota of Dallas and Nissan of McKinney.
Death
On December 24, 2017, Adkins drove to the 200 block of Red River Trail in Irving, Texas for a drug deal. During the meeting, an unidentified suspect showed a handgun and a fight broke out.
Someone fired a gun during the fight, and Brett was shot.
He died just after midnight at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas.
