Career
Brent worked as a mainframe engineer and electrical engineer for Kenetech WindPower in Livermore, California. In 1996, he went on to become a senior systems engineer/project manager where he deployed large-scale enterprise networks, data centers, and call centers for major corporations like Ford Motor Company, Microsoft, and Wells Fargo. He went on to become the vice president of network engineering at Globix Corporation. [8]
In 2001, Rambo began working at Sun Microsystems as the director of network engineering. In his time there he developed a dynamic, scalable network infrastructure like Amazon Web Services, which didn't come into existence until 2006. His next gig was as director of business development/senior engineer at U4EA Technologies, a company which was acquired by Sony-Ericsson partly due to Brent's efforts.
Rambo went on to be a platinum engineer for data center operations at Savvis Communications. He worked with clients like Akamai Technologies, eBay, and Visa to solve network and security issues when they would arise. Brent then joined Barracuda Networks as an early employee and was fast-tracked through a series of promotions, from lead architect to product manager to VP of engineering and operations. After leaving the company, Brent stayed on as a consultant for a short period of time and his work helped lay the foundation for a successful $1.8B IPO in 2014.
In 2006, Brent was hired by Selling Source to establish a private data center facility, which he later called MarquisNet.
As the founder and CEO of MarquisNet, Rambo helped the company achieve profitibility in less than fourteen months and even managed to sell it to a major telecommunication company within four years.
Brent then moved over to Sony Online Entertainment where he was promoted from executive director of technology operations to vice president of technology. He oversaw seven divisions in his post—networking, security, operations, desktop support, database, production systems, and internal/external infrastructure. He also greatly improved efficiency throughout the company, cutting costs 54% and increasing productivity 31%. Rambo went on to become the CTO, founder, and president of Molio Inc, a company that was acquired pre-launch by one of the largest media companies in the world.
In 2015, Brent started working at Intuit as the director of fraud prevention. He implemented the first real-time anti-fraud engine and reduced tax fraud by nearly 70% in two years, saving close to $3.85 billion dollars.

"They were running a national contest for junior high kids.
I won by reverse engineering software on Apple’s platform. I kind of manipulated it to do things it wasn’t supposed to do. It got their attention. Apple engineers actually called me and asked me how I did it."
