In October 2016, Brennan asked presidential candidate Hillary Clinton a question about body image during a campaign event.
After the event she said her father helped her craft the question.
Clinton had been running advertisements featuring Trump making statements critical of various women.
The question:
“At my school, body image is a really big issue for girls my age.
I see with my own eyes the damage Donald Trump does when he talks about women and how they look.
How could Mrs. Clinton help girls understand that they are so much more than just what they look like?”
