Bobby Burell is a 63-year-old man from Teague, Texas.

According to his Facebook page, Burrell attended Paul Quinn College and currently works for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice William R. Boyd Unit, a local state prison located approximately 6 miles northeast of Teague, Texas.

On February 26th, 2016, Burell was arrested after allegedly firing several shots at a male victim in a parking lot at Palestine High School.

According to the Palestine Police Department, several 911 calls were received citing shots fired; Upon arrival, Police discovered Burell with a handgun and witnessed him fire several shots and strike a male victim in the upper arm.

Burell then continued to assault a 59-year-old female victim who was with the male victim, striking her in the head area with the handgun.

According to a witness, Burell attempted to shoot her but the gun reportedly malfunctioned- it is believed that Burell and the female victim had a prior relationship.

Police were able to retrieve the gun from Burell and he is currently facing two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, his bail was set a 250,000.
