Bill Pulte

Bill Pulte

Bill Pulte is the CEO of Pulte Capital and founder of the Detroit Blight Authority. He has been featured in Forbes' 30 under 30 for his mission to remove blight from Detroit neighborhoods [1].

Background

Bill is the son of Mark Timothy Pulte and grandson of Bill Pulte. After graduating from Northwestern University, Pulte began running an investment group called Pulte Capital Partners.

Pulte first became aware of urban blight after reading a newspaper article about how children were afraid to walk to school in their blighted neighborhoods.

Pulte then raised $750,000 to create the Detroit Blight Authority.

Its first two projects were highly successful and have resulted in a reduction of crime in the surrounding areas.

Pulte said to Forbes, "I think we're on the precipice of something really big.

We've got the knowledge.

We just need the government to give us the clearance, and we can take it everywhere."

Present

Bill continues his mission to eliminate blight.

He is working with government officials, residents, and volunteers to expand his operation further.
