She grew up in the Film industry watching her father on sets. She also gained inspiration from her mother in staying in exercising like an athlete. Thus, at a young age, she would practice Karate, Kick-Boxing, Ballet, and Figure skating. [3]
As a young girl, she aspired to be a part of the Olympics and disciplined herself to train each day entering numerous competitions, some of them she came in 1st. She took the competition seriously until her dreams were interrupted when it was decided by her parents that they would be moving to Vancouver, Canada. [3]
Because of the move, Bianca fell into sadness, and during one competition, she injured her back in a race, which ended up placing first.
She continued to skate for the Canadian Olympic Team until injuries caused her to step away from competition.
When graduated high school at the age of 16 and attended John Casablancas' acting studio in Vancouver. She was offered a scholarship, and instead took part in her father's traveling attending film sets and business trips. Her experiences served as a way to study the film industry. [3]
Acting
Bianca made her first film debut in the *The Shepherd * after the production team lost one of their leading actors, and she was chosen as a replacement as she was the only child present at the time of production. She stars in the film alongside her father. She was also in the film her father directed, produced, and starred in called Soldiers. She then landed another role working alongside her father in the film called, Assassination Games. [3]
After working on films with her father, and taking her training to the highest level, she decided to audition and go after roles on her own without the use of her father's name.
The decision came after ITV approached her family about doing a reality show called Jean Claude Van Damme: Behind Closed Doors. [3]
After the show finished, she received offers from people to work in movies, and decided to work with Dominic Burns in the film Alien Uprising. After, she worked in the films *Six Bullets * with her father again. She then worked in Welcome to the Jungle. [3]
She has since embraced her family name and changed her professional name to "Bianca Brigitte Van Damme".
