Bharathi Rani Arunachalam is lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She is fluent in English and Tamil. She is an experienced actress, host, radio jockey, voice over artist and speech and drama trainer with a demonstrated history of working in the broadcast media industry.[1]
Education
Bharathi holds a Professional Certificate in marketing and communication management, a Diploma in mass communication and an Advanced Diploma in mass communication from Management Development Institute of Singapore.[2] She obtained her Bachelor's degree in communication from SIM University in 2012 and her Master's degree from Nanyang Technological University in 2015.[3][4]
Career and Experience
Bharathi started her career as a Producer/Presenter at Oli 96.8FM Mediacorp Radio in March 2010. She produced and hosted various programs, including motivational programs, song request programs, quiz shows and current affairs, worked with a wide range of clients ranging from the beauty to property industries and led interviews of various people such as entrepreneurs, local and foreign celebrities among other roles.
She has been a Speech and Drama Trainer at Learning Factory, Shine and Grow since February 2014 till date.[5]
She acted in a movie by a notable local director, Jack Neo, titled Long Long Time Ago. She has been acting and hosting a variety of programmes on Mediacorp Vasantham since 2005 till date. She acted in popular dramas such as Nijangal, Kshatriyan and hosted popular programmes such as Vasantham Star, Enna Nadakkuthu, Dance Jodi, among others. [5]
Recounting her experience as an actress she had these to say;
''I have played various roles ranging from teacher, young mother, medical student, model, and also did roles that required me to do fight scenes.
also a judge for Ms V Supreme 2019 on Vasantham.''
Some of the production houses she has worked with include; Comic Book Productions, The Media, Tantra Productions, Pixel Productions, Verite Productions, Frames Entertainment, to name a few.
She is presently a lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic where she lectures eight (8) modules for three (3) levels both in English and Tamil.[6]
