On July 11, 2016 a shooting took place at the Berrien County Courthouse in the town of St.
Joseph, Michigan.
Two of the victims are court Bailiff s, along with the gunman.
Michigan State Police confirmed the shooting incident happened around 2:30 p.m. local time.
The gunman took hostages at around 2:20 p.m. local time on the second floor of the building.
Thatโs when the gunfire rang out.
The situation ended within minutes of the first gunshot.
The gunman was an in-custody inmate who grabbed a deputy's weapon as he was being led to the cells and started shooting.
