Ben Tinker is an American journalist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a supervising producer for CNN Health, working primarily with CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta. [1]

Tinker graduated from New York University with dual degrees in journalism and psychology. [1]
Career
For more than three years, Tinker produced CNN's weekly health and wellness show, Sanjay Gupta MD, providing consumer-driven news and advice for living a longer, happier, healthier life.
During that time, the show was nominated for three Emmy awards and won three New York Festival awards. Tinker is also the recipient of a New York Festival award for his 30-minute documentary, Dementia Village, part of CNN International's World's Untold Stories franchise. [1]
He was a member of the team that received a prestigious Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award in 2014 for their groundbreaking enterprise reporting on medical marijuana, showcased in two one-hour primetime documentaries, WEED and WEED 2: Cannabis Madness. [1]
Prior to joining CNN Health, Tinker worked in New York for CNNMoney, where he produced Your Bottom Line, the network's weekly personal finance program. He also produced a primetime special titled "In God We Trust," which explored the intersection of faith and money in America. [1]
