Early Life and Education
Moshiri was born in London to two prominent Iranian exiles, journalist Nazenin Ansari and businessman Farhad Moshiri. Moshiri graduated from the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in 2008 with a Baccalauréat in Economics and Sociology, and went on to attend Duke University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and Political Science in 2013. While a student, Moshiri undertook internships at FTI Consulting and Finsbury. [1]
Career
Moshiri worked as a consultant for FTI in New York from 2014 to 2016 while taking night classes in journalism at New York University. Moshiri returned to the United Kingdom in 2016 to transition to journalism, first at the Press Association where she was an election results taker for the Brexit referendum and then a trainee journalist. After completing work placements at the Trinity Mirror and the BBC, Moshiri joined the staff of CNN International in early 2017 on a training contract during which she worked on Amanpour. and Hala Gorani, and was promoted to producer on Amanpour. at the conclusion of the contract.
