On February 28, 2018, a video posted to Facebook by Yossi Gallo, that shows Officer Sououd telling a homeless man to leave a McDonald's after Yossi reportedly paid for his meal, went viral on social media.

The video sparked outrage among many of the millions who have viewed it.

It has received over 41 million views.

Gallo can be heard telling Officer Sououd that he met the man outside the restaurant and invited him in.

Officer Sououd was responding to a call made by a McDonald’s employee requesting a trespass warning for a panhandler in the restaurant parking lot.

Both Gallo and the other man eventually complied with the officer’s order and left the McDonald’s.

Yossi Gallo himself has stated that he believes Officer Sououd did nothing wrong and was perfectly courteous in the encounter.
