Asia Ramazan Antar was a 22 year-old high-ranking Kurdish soldier of the all-female division of People's Protection Units (YPG) known for sharing a resemblance to actress, Angelina Jolie. She joined YPG in 2014. ^[1]

She is involved in key battles against Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS) in northern Syria, and was Martyred in a battle against them. ^[1]

Death Antar was killed near Jarablus during a battle between Syrian Democratic Forces and the Turkish Sponsorship of the Syrian opposition. She was known for being a fierce fighter. Her death is yet to be verified with reports that claim she was Killed in action. ^[1]

The all-female division of fighters has more than 50,000 soldiers, and 20% are women in militia units pushing away extremists from the Turkish border. ^[1]
