Ariel Ratliff was a 14 year old girl from southwest Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of Michael and Latoya Ratliff.
Death
On Wednesday June 16, 2016 Ariel and her mother Latoya were shot by her father Michael Ratliff after they allegedly tried to attack him with knives.
The knife attack was triggered by an argument the family was having.
The shooting occurred at around 3 a.m on a home in the 1510 block of Alkay Street in southwest Houston. Michael is in custody but has not been charged with any crimes.
In October, 2015 Ariel ran away but was found safe by her family.
