Borges is a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting. He is a soccer player for the school.
In the Media
On February 18, 2018, a photo of Borges and Broward Sheriff Scott Israel went viral on social media. [1] In the photo, Borges is shown recovering after being shot fives times.
It was revealed that Borges had placed his body between alleged mass killer Nikolas Cruz and fellow students. He held his ground in the doorway, putting his body between the bullets and his classmates, who all survived uninjured.
A GoFundMe campaign started for Anthony has raised over $35,900 of the initial $5,000 goal.
