Anndy Lian is a Singaporean entrepreneur known for his work in the blockchain technology industry in Asia.

== Education ==

Anndy Lian completed his Diploma in Business Administration from Singapore Polytechnic in 3 years.

He has developed an interest in public relations and advertising which led him to pursuit a Bachelor in Communications from Edith Cowan University, Australia where he has obtained full distinctions for his bachelor programme.

He has joined several companies such as Singapore Armed Forces, The Events Company, McCann, The Hour Glass, Save Our Planet Foundation, Scientific Tradition.

In 2014, he decided to do a Masters in Business (MBA) from University of Wales to advance his knowledge and skills.

== His Career ==

Anndy Lian is an all-rounded business strategist with more than 15 years of experience in Asia.

He has provided advisory across a variety of industries for local, international and public listed companies.

Anndy played a leadership role in a not-for-profit and quasi government linked organizations such as Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA) where he worked alongside policymakers, private sector decision-makers and experts to create business value propositions for different industries.

At Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA), he is also being recognised by council members such as Reuben Wong from National University of Singapore to be the person who came up with great ideas on events to raise the profile of the SIIA, and to keep SIIA balance sheet in the black.

During his time at SIIA, he believes in green, sustainability and climate change under the mentorship of Professor Simon Tay who was the Chairman of National Environmental Agency.

Anndy has often shared his views on green initiatives and wants all to play their part for the environment[1].

An avid supporter for incubating start-ups, Anndy has investments in a several traditional companies.

He has also been a private investor for the past eight years.

With a growth investment mindset, Anndy strategically demonstrates this in the companies he chooses to be involved with.

He believes that what he is doing through blockchain technology currently will revolutionise and redefine traditional businesses[2].

== World’s First Distributed Supply Chain Platform [3]==

Linfinity is founded in Singapore and is the World’s First Distributed supply chain platform based on blockchain, Internet of Things and Big Data technology, that is commercialising FMCG products.

They implement blockchain, targeting the various pain points such as costs, bureaucracy, counterfeit frauds and many others, into the total supply chain network.

Linfinity has featured used case studies for healthcare, beauty and tabaco products that use their blockchain technology enterprise solutions.

Anndy's blockchain knowledge and work have drawn attention from various international media.

In October 2018, Anndy is being interviewed by Forbes on how a Singapore Startup Wants Change In Perspective On Blockchain.[4].

He was also featured on Singapore mainstream newspaper- [5] in July 2018 on how he offers supply chains a solution to combat fraud using blockchain.

As of end of July 2019, Anndy has officially stepped down as the CEO of Linfinity to purse an international mission[10].

== Core Member of Gyeongsangbuk-do Blockchain Special Committee, Government of the Republic of Korea [6]==

The Gyeongsangbuk-do Blockchain Special Committee[12] is aimed at cultivating the blockchain industry, building a blockchain research centre, attracting investment in blockchain-related projects, and promoting the development of the blockchain industry in the city of Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Notable blockchain leaders such as Brock Pierce, Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation; Jeffrey Jones, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea; Alexis Sirkia, founder of Yellow.com; Jonathan Kochmer, former Information Architect of Amazon are part of this committee.

== Blockchain Adviser to Asian Productivity Organization (APO) ==

Anndy Lian currently plays a pivotal role as the Blockchain Advisor[11] for Asian Productivity Organization (APO), an intergovernmental organization committed to improving productivity in the Asia-Pacific region.

He advises the Secretariat on the latest concepts and applications of blockchain technologies in cybersecurity and IoT network data integrity across smart factories and upskill the Secretariat staff in blockchain technologies as applicable to productivity.

The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) is an intergovernmental regional organisation established by Convention in 1961 by several governments in Asia to hasten their economic development.

The current membership is 20 economies, comprising Bangladesh, Cambodia, Republic of China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Republic of Korea, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.

These countries/economies pledge to assist each other in their productivity drives in a spirit of mutual cooperation by sharing knowledge, information, and experience.

Exploration of future technology such as Blockchain is part of their roadmap.

Anndy Lian who is also the CEO of Linfinity has also signed a MOU [7] to help member economies adopt blockchain technology.

The initiative will enable adoption of blockchain-based cybersecurity technologies and enhance data transfer security in smart factories.

== Book Author “Blockchain Revolution 2030”, published by Kyobo Books ==

Anndy Lian spends a lot of his time in South Korea since 2009.

His passion from technology grew during his time in Korea.

He was particularly impressed by SK Telcom’s innovative ideas like the supermarket trolley automated check out system to their portable air filters and portable projectors.

Blockchain was also being introduced to him in Korea and since then he has started to spend more time in Korea discussing about blockchain with politicians, academics, civil servants, MNC, and SMEs.

The book titled “Blockchain Revolution 2030” is a filled with detail information on blockchain and its future scenarios.

Anndy Lian, together with co-authors, Professor Park Young Sook and Shawn Hamnison, share insights on how blockchain technology plays an important foundation to the Fourth Industrial Revolution[8].

This book is carefully worded and has the most extensive research work done.

350 pages of contents are verified and published by Kyobo[9], the largest bookstore chain in South Korea.

Kyobo is known for their extensive variety of books and especially in the education segment.

It is also one of the recommended book and best seller of the category.
