Early Life & Education
Anna Baydakova grew up in Tula, Russia. In 2010, she graduated from Saint Petersburg State University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism with a concentration in Radio and Television. Baydakova also graduated from the National Research University Higher School of Economics with a master's degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media.  
In 2017, Baydakova attended Columbia University after moving to New York City. She graduated from Columbia in 2018 with a Master of Arts in Journalism. 
Anna Baydakova has been a Reporter at CoinDesk since September 2018. She writes about blockchain projects and regulation with a special focus on Eastern Europe and Russia. Baydakova first worked for CoinDesk as an Editorial Intern while studying at Columbia.  
In 2014, Baydakova worked as a Politics Reporter at Novaya Gazeta, a leading Russian political news outlet. From 2012-2014, Baydakova worked as a Reporter for The Moscow News, covering urban development, social problems, and civil society. 
From 2011-2012, Baydakova worked as a Stringer for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in Moscow reporting on Russian civil society and civic movements.
